Fluidized Competences

Giorgio Buccilli On Line - The Business Of Software - fluidized competences

Trying to highlight my company technical competences, I’m wondering whether we do have competencies or just competent people. Turning competent people knowledge into core competences is a critical and expensive task.

Re (and) co-location of competent people does not come cheaply. The reality is that it’s hard to diffuse people skills and help the organization make profits from them.

Do you think competences cost? Try incompetence, then.

Welcome! I can read new energy and in your article and a certain concept of fluidity, which makes me thing about water. Water can be gaseous, liquid and solid, and then gaseous again. It adapts to all shapes and generates life. In a way knowledge and ideas should have the same life-cycle. Able to turn their state according to external conditions without losing the original generative impulse. Our ideas get a shape (become true) only under certain specific conditions, and when realized can be something very different from their origins. Actually they never die; if good, they wait for a long time but finally comes to life again. There should be reservoirs for brilliant ideas as for water.
